Our Story
Neev began as a heartfelt response to a need within our community — a place where South Asian mothers in Milton could connect, create, and find belonging while raising families in a new cultural landscape. What started as South Asian Mommies of Milton (SAMM) — a community of women supporting one another — soon revealed a deeper truth:
People from all cultures crave connection, seek meaning, and want to celebrate both where they come from and where they are now.
From these early conversations and shared gatherings, Neev was born — a space rooted in identity, creativity, and community evolution.
Who We Are
Neev is a community-centred cultural organization rooted in Milton, Ontario. We celebrate culture as a living, evolving force — not something simply preserved, but something lived and shared. We support individuals and families in navigating life in Canada while staying grounded in their heritage.
We believe:
- Culture is a bridge — connecting people, traditions, and stories.
- Identity can be both cherished and transformed.
- Belonging thrives when creativity, expression, and community come together.
Our foundation grew organically — not as an idea on paper, but as a lived experience of connection, resilience, and cultural celebration, strengthening social cohesion, intergenerational learning, and a sense of belonging within the Milton community.
Our People — The Heart of Neev
